Why not book a night or two at our Medicine Hat hotel and check out these spooktacular events and activities perfect for families, and some that are just for adults.

Howl Along to Norman Foote

One of Canada’s favourite children’s entertainers, Norman Foote lives up to his name by hosting The Howl Musical Mascarade Oct. 28 at the Esplanade Arts and Heritage Centre. Your little Minions can dance the afternoon away while this Juno award-winning artist shares the stage with a unique choir described as an animated wall of costumed singers, as well as local school choirs. Tickets are pay-what-you-will, available at Tixx.ca. Hosting a Halloween or birthday party? Why not book into our Medicine Hat hotel with a pool? We have large suites that can sleep up to six people.

Treat the Kids to Halloween at the Library

The Medicine Hat Public Library, located a short drive from our Medicine Hat accommodations, is hosting free children’s Halloween events starting with a screening of the PG animated film Monster House, Oct. 27 at 2 p.m. in the Library Theatre.

On Oct. 28, the library hosts an afternoon of Halloween fun with the Monster Mash. Get your kids dressed in their costume and enjoy stories, activities and treats from 2-3:30 p.m. in the Honor Currie Room. Registration is required by calling 403-502-8526.

On Halloween night from 7-8:30 p.m., you can hang out at the library for a fun party featuring Monster Mad Libs, a mummy contest, and more. Arrive in your most creative costume for your chance to win a prize. Snack and drinks provided. For ages 10-12.

Party at the Zombie Disco

The Heartwood Café and Terrestrial Expedition Agency are hosting a 70s theme Disco Dance Party for the Undead, Oct. 26. Dress in your best John Travolta meets the Walking Dead costume and head down to the Heartwood to dance to live DJs. The event is 18-plus with a $5 cover charge. Why not make it a howling night out by booking a room at one of the best places to stay in Medicine Hat?
